Big Heart Initiative

These days it is difficult to find a family that hasn’t been affected by cancer. At GatorGear, we wanted to find a way to give back not only to charities raising awareness and funds for research, but directly to these heroic individuals living with cancer today. Inspired by a wave of schools and businesses nationwide that have ‘gone pink’ in the name of fighting the disease, the Big Heart Initiative was formed in 2009, providing a variety of custom-made pink hats and visors to high schools and businesses with the purpose of using the headwear for raising funds and visibility for their local charities and foundations.

For every hat or visor purchased nationwide during the Big Heart Initiative in 2010, GatorGear will donate one piece of headwear to Heavenly Hats, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing headwear to those heroes of all ages who have lost their hair due to the treatment of cancer.
